Your catalog is an ordinary Google Sheet in your own Drive, with the photographs in a folder beside it — stored by Google, under your account, exactly like your other files there. We keep no copy and run no database: there is nothing on our side to be lost, sold, or broken into.

What signing in allows

Google is asked for one narrow permission, called drive.file. It covers the files this app creates and any file you hand it through Google's own picker. It cannot list the rest of your Drive, open documents you have not chosen, or reach your mail or photos — and you can withdraw it at any time.

Nothing is locked in

Underneath, your records are kept in a plain spreadsheet — not as the thing you use, but so they are never trapped in a format only we can read. Print them, export them, back them up, or hand them to an appraiser, an insurer, or whoever inherits the collection.

Collections that don't match

Calls, decoys, books and advertising are not the same thing and do not want the same fields. Each collection carries its own, you can add fields of your own, and the things you don't own — a wish list, what you have sold — stay out of the count.
